The success of dragon economies (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea) is always being credited to Confucianism. However, the dragon economies, under a stable environment, popularised education channels and created enormous training opportunities. Hence, they were able to produce plenty of middle class and intellectuals. It has nurtured the condition for Renaissance. In less than 50 years, they have jumped from third world to first world. Their GNP per capita is even higher than some advanced countries.

The achievement of dragon economies is not due only to Confucianism. It is a combination of east and west experiences and influences. Singapore and Hong Kong were under the influence of British. The Americans influenced Taiwan and South Korea. The dragon economies, after merging, innovating, and creating new model, have transformed themselves. Now, they stand firm in Asia and face the challenge from the world.

Darwin Education Group strongly believes that the experience of overseas Chinese can uplift China to a higher level of development. Overseas Chinese, with poor education and unfavourable condition in the past, managed to create miracle. This will encourage China and motivate China to confidently achieve a modestly prosperous society.

In the 1970s, our team members had already established relationship with Chinese cultural and arts circle. We were among the first to introduce Chinese performing arts to the outside world. In the 1980s, we published a series of articles introducing the opening up of China economy. In the 1990s, we worked and ventured into China and involved in management, consultancy and study. After more than 30 years of effort, we have broadened our understanding on China and we have established our "guanxi" in China. Similarly, we have upgraded our management skill and knowledge and understood the latest trend and concepts in world market.

Among us, there are life-long Chinese teachers, visiting lecturers, Chinese business, legal and education advisors, China representatives, educational solution providers, investors, businessmen plus well-connected Chinese professionals from China.
